Benidorm Airport and How to Get to Your Benidorm Holiday

Benidorm Airport does not actually exist. The nearest airport to the Costa Blanca resort of Benidorm is Alicante International Airport, El Altet, whose airport code is ALC. Benidorm is nice and easy to get to, and does not require a long and tiring journey. It is only 60km, or just under an hour’s drive, from Alicante International Airport, on the main E15/A7 motorway, and Alicante can be reached in around 2 hours, by air, from most European destinations.

Alicante is a large international airport located about 11km south of the Costa Blanca city of Alicante.  There are many airlines which serve Alicante Airport and these include:

Alicante Airport, being a popular and large airport, has a good range of facilities including a large car park, with a capacity of about 2,000 cars, an information desk, tourist information desk, lost property office, ATMs and Bureau de Change facilities, pharmacy, 24 hour first aid service, post office, a variety of shops newsagent, gift shops, duty free shops, CD and DVD shop, shoe and sports shops, jewelery shops etc., a number of bars and restaurants, VIP business facilities, for business class customers, equipped with Internet access, fax, phone and photocopying. The airport is also wheelchair friendly.

Alicante Aiport Parking

If you want to park you car at Alicante Airport, while you travel to another destination, you have two choices:-

1. Leave it in the airport car park
   The car park has 2,000 spaces but is quite expensive for long periods because it is €17.45 a day for up to 4 days and then €13.95 per day from the fifth day.
2. Use long term parking providers
   These are generally located outside the airport area, but will give you a lift or offer a shuttle service from their site to the airport and then back again. Getting To Benidorm from Alicante Airport

The easiest way of getting from Alicante Airport to Benidorm is by car and there is a good choice of Benidorm car rental companies with offices in and around Alicante Airport. Make sure that you book a car in advance, don’t just expect rental car companies to have one available without a booking
Alicante is a popular airport.

Hiring a car will allow you to get to Benidorm easily and will allow you to make the most of your Costa Blanca holiday, by visiting other Costa Blanca towns, cities and resorts.

If you don’t want to hire a car for some reason and need Benidorm Airport transport to Levante beach or other parts of Benidorm, there are other modes of transport from Alicante Airport to Benidorm:-

• Bus Alicante Airport to Benidorm
  There are airport buses from Alicante to Benidorm. All year long buses run approx. every hour, on the hour, between 8 in the morning and 11 at night. You will need to check the bus timetable from Alicante Airport to Benidorm to make sure that a bus will tie in with your flight time.
• Alicante Airport transfers to Benidorm
  If you have booked some type of package holiday, airport transfers to your Benidorm hotel, apartment or property may be included, otherwise there are many companies that offer shuttle transfers and cheap airport transfers.
• Taxi
  Alicante Airport has a taxi rank and a taxi to Benidorm will cost approximately 70-80 Euros.

Other Airports

Alicante Airport is the most convenient airport for Benidorm, but you could also consider Valencia Airport and Murcia Airport (San Javier). Benidorm is about 137km, or 1 hour 20, from Murcia Airport on the AP7 motorway, and Valencia Airport is about the same 140km, or 1 hour 25 minutes. Cheap transfers from Murcia Airport to Benidorm are available from a variety of different shuttle companies.
